In 2025, CLG proudly celebrated 21 years in business. What began in 2004 as a vision to create a logistics company offering greater capability, service, and value has evolved into a trusted, full-service logistics partner. While our scale and services have expanded, our foundation remains unchanged: shared values, a customer-first mindset, and a culture that treats employees and partners like family.
Strategic Investments to Support Long-Term Growth
This past year marked a pivotal chapter in strengthening CLG’s operational foundation as a comprehensive logistics and supply chain solutions provider. We made intentional investments across technology, infrastructure, and equipment to better serve our customers today while preparing for future demand.
Key initiatives included:
- Launch of CLG Truckload Solutions, expanding our end-to-end service offerings
- Moving into a brand-new facility in Charleston, SC
- Project cargo expansion and other equipment additions
- Implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (Excalibur WMS)
- Adoption of the PortPro drayage operating platform
- Rollout of new HR and sales management systems
- A refreshed brand identity and new website
Together, these enhancements improve operational visibility, efficiency, and connectivity across warehousing, transportation, and port-centric logistics operations.
The Establishment of CLG Truckload Solutions
To further enhance our logistics services, we launched CLG Truckload Solutions, expanding our transportation capabilities to streamline operations and improve supply chain efficiency. By bringing transportation and warehousing together under a unified, coordinated operation, we provide our customers with reliable, cost-effective, and scalable freight management solutions—making logistics simpler and more efficient across key markets.
Expanding Capabilities in Project Cargo and Specialized Handling
To meet growing demand for project cargo logistics and oversized freight handling, CLG expanded its specialized service offerings through targeted equipment and facility investments. The addition of a 99,000 lb. capacity Taylor Reach Stacker significantly enhances our ability to safely and efficiently manage heavy-lift, breakbulk, and out-of-gauge cargo.
CLG also strengthened its packaging services. Our investment in the Hendrick HK5 3200PL Computerized Panel Saw increases precision, throughput, and consistency while enhancing safety for our teams. This upgrade enables our packaging division to deliver high-quality packaging solutions that meet strict compliance standards, protect cargo integrity, and support complex project cargo and international freight requirements.
These investments reflect CLG’s commitment to continuous improvement and to delivering specialized solutions where execution matters most.
Growing Through Uncertainty
The past year brought continued volatility across global logistics—economic shifts, labor disruptions, global tensions, and natural disasters all impacted supply chains. Through it all, CLG remained focused on what we can control: our culture, our execution, and our commitment to continuous improvement as a trusted logistics services partner.
Our teams demonstrated exceptional resilience, cross-training, and collaboration to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective logistics solutions. At the same time, industry collaboration and knowledge-sharing strengthened, reinforcing the importance of partnership in keeping freight moving.
Facility Expansion and Operational Enhancements
To support evolving customer needs, CLG invested in strategic facility expansions across key port markets. In the Charleston logistics market, our team successfully transitioned operations from a 200,000 sq. ft. Class B warehouse to a 230,000 sq. ft. Class A facility in Ladson, while simultaneously implementing a new WMS.
In Savannah, we expanded port-centric warehousing and logistics services by increasing container-lifting capacity, doubling production capacity within our packaging operations, and enhancing safety measures. These investments strengthen our ability to deliver responsive, scalable logistics services close to major East Coast ports.
