On April 23rd, 2025, Coastal Logistics Group (CLG) had the privilege of attending the Georgia Logistics Summit, a premier event that brought together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to discuss the latest trends and challenges in logistics. They also discussed numerous projects underway at the Georgia Ports to increase capacity and efficiency.
One of the key highlights of the summit was the discussion on infrastructure improvements by the Georgia Department of Transportation. As Georgia continues to experience population and commerce growth, better connectivity is crucial through interstate and interchange improvements and even better wi-fi for monitoring traffic and congestion. The Georgia Ports Authority outlined several projects aimed at increasing capacity and efficiency of the ports, ensuring that Georgia remains a vital hub for logistics and trade.
Attendees gained insights into the short-term and anticipated long-term impacts on supply chains and the global economy due to current tariffs. These discussions are essential for understanding how external factors influence logistics operations and planning for future challenges.
