At Coastal Logistics Group (CLG), standard processes and efficiency are more than goals—they’re a way of life. And few embody that spirit better than Charles Levitt, an Industrial Engineer whose journey to Savannah is as compelling as the impact he’s making on CLG’s operations.
Charles grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, and knew from the first grade that he wanted to be an engineer. A lifelong Clemson fan, he turned that childhood ambition into reality, earning his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University in 2019.
After graduation, Charles spent five years in Charlotte, gaining experience in the chemical and medical device industries. His personal journey took a romantic turn when he met his wife, Elizabeth, in the piano bar of a cruise ship. The cruise pianist even played at their wedding—a fitting tribute to their story. In December 2023, the couple moved to Savannah, and Charles joined CLG on March 10, 2025.
Charles sees the Industrial Engineering & Quality (IEQ) department as an internal consulting arm of the business, focused on optimizing efficiency, safety, and quality across operations. His approach is rooted in standardization—breaking down custom solutions into repeatable, reproducible subprocesses that drive consistency and scalability.
He works closely with both sales and operations teams to engineer value-added services, ensuring that CLG’s logistics solutions are not only effective but also tailored to client needs.

Outside of work, Charles enjoys wild turkey hunting, watching Clemson football, and tinkering in his shed. Recently, his projects have taken on a more personal touch—he’s been building toys for his newborn son, who joined the family in June.
