Specialized Handling & Controls

The Challenge

Agricultural chemicals classified as marine pollutants require specialized handling, storage, and transportation controls. Stored near sensitive waterways, any release could pose environmental, regulatory, and operational risks.

The customer needed a logistics partner capable of safely managing regulated chemical inventory, preventing environmental incidents, and ensuring cargo remained secure throughout the export process—all while supporting consistent global distribution.

Supporting Hazardous & Regulated Materials

The CLG Solution

CLG manages the storage, protection, and export preparation of agricultural chemical products through its port-centric facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Designed specifically to support hazardous and regulated materials, the operation incorporates multiple layers of environmental protection and cargo control.

A dedicated 35,000-square-foot raised containment berm provides secondary spill protection, helping prevent any product release from reaching surrounding waterways. Products are stored, handled, and prepared for export according to established safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

CLG also oversees the loading and securement of cargo within ocean containers, utilizing standardized processes and quality controls to help ensure products remain stable and protected throughout international transit. Located minutes from the Port of Charleston, the Charleston facility enables efficient movement from warehouse to vessel while maintaining strict handling standards.
